Essentials Mitochondrial hyperpolarization enhances the conversion of platelets to a procoagulant phenotype. Mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) function is essential in procoagulant platelet formation. Mitochondrial calcium uniporter deletion does not impact other aspects of platelet activation.
