We investigated whether a polymorphism in codons 22 and 23 of the glucocorticoid (GC) receptor gene [GAGAGG(GluArg) --> GAAAAG(GluLys)] is associated with altered GC sensitivity, anthropometric parameters, cardiovascular risk factors, and sex steroid hormones.
