<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Sortilin is a receptor for neuronal uptake of apolipoprotein E. Sortilin-dependent uptake of lipidated apoE promotes conversion of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) into neuromodulators that induce anti-inflammatory gene expression in the brain.
