Low-grade follicle center lymphoma (LGFCL) is characterized genetically by the t(14;18) translocation and an indolent clinical course. Histologic progression from LGFCL to an aggressive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLCL) occurs in 60% to 80% of cases, and this transformation is associated with the accumulation of secondary genetic alterations.
