Several mutant lymphoma lines are unable to add glycophosphatidylinositol membrane anchors to proteins. Some of them accumulate abnormal glycolipids which can be labeled by tritiated myo-inositol, mannose, or ethanolamine and which are not present in the corresponding parental cell lines.
