UNLABELLED: Maternal tea consumption was reported to increase the risk of fetal neural tube defects (NTDs). Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) may be involved in the metabolism of polyphenolic methylation of tea, thus influence the risk of fetal NTDs.
