OBJECTIVE: The inhibitory proteins, IkappaBs, regulate the activity of nuclear factor kappa-beta (NF-kappaB), which is implicated in tumorigenesis by regulating expression of a variety of genes involved in cellular transformation, proliferation, invasion, angiogenesis and metastasis.
