The urokinase receptor (uPAR) attenuates myofibroblast recruitment and fibrosis in the kidney. This study examined the role of uPAR and its co-receptor LDL receptor-related protein (LRP) in the regulation of kidney fibroblast proliferation and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling.
