<title>Abstract</title> <p>Background Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin with reported multiorgan toxicity, especially kidney toxicity. Fucoxanthin (FX) and its hydrolyzed metabolite Fucoxanthinol (FXL) have reno-protective antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
