<h4>SUMMARY</h4> The MarR-family regulator MhqR of Staphylococcus aureus ( Sa MhqR) was previously characterized as quinone-sensing repressor of the mhqRED operon. Here, we resolved the crystal structures of apo- Sa MhqR and the 2-methylbenzoquinone (MBQ)-bound Sa MhqR complex.
