<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> PINK1 and parkin constitute a mitochondrial quality control system mutated in Parkinson’s disease. PINK1, a kinase, phosphorylates ubiquitin to recruit parkin, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, to mitochondria.
