<title>Abstract</title> <p><bold>Background :</bold> Intraneuronal accumulation of a-synuclein (αSyn) is key in Parkinson’s disease (PD) pathogenesis. The pathogenic process is suggested to begin in the enteric nervous system decades before diagnosis of PD and then propagate into the brain.
