<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> <h4>Background</h4> Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder with prodromal gastrointestinal (GI) issues often emerging decades before motor symptoms. Pathologically, PD can be driven by accumulation of misfolded alpha synuclein (aSyn) protein in the brain and periphery, including the GI tract.
