<h4>SUMMARY</h4> Mycobacterium tuberculosis poses a serious challenge for human health, and new antibiotics with novel targets are needed. Here we demonstrate that an acylaminooxadiazole, MBX-4132, specifically inhibits the trans -translation ribosome rescue pathway to kill M. tuberculosis .
