INF2 is a member of the formin family of actin assembly factors. Dominant mis-sense mutations in INF2 link to two diseases: focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a kidney disease; and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMTD), a neuropathy.
