We have studied the role of the U14 small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) in pre-rRNA methylation and processing in Xenopus oocytes. Depletion of U14 in Xenopus oocytes was achieved by co-injecting two nonoverlapping antisense oligonucleotides.
