OBJECTIVE: To determine whether apolipoprotein E (Apo E) phenotype is associated with cognitive decline in community-dwelling nondemented elderly women. DESIGN: Prospective cohort study. SETTING: A university-affiliated clinic near Pittsburgh, Pa.
