The pharmacokinetics of sulphamethizole, sulphamethoxazole, sulphadiazine, sulphapyridine and sulphadimidine have been studied in man. Renal clearance values of the metabolite N4-acetylsulphonamide are 6 to 20 times higher than those of the corresponding parent compound.
