Huntington disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by polyglutamine-encoding CAG repeat expansion in the huntingtin ( HTT ) gene. HTT is involved in the axonal transport of vesicles containing brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).
