PURPOSE: Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified dozens of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with breast cancer. Few studies focused on young-onset breast cancer, which exhibits etiologic and tumor-type differences from older-onset disease.
