TopBP1 (topoisomerase IIβ-binding protein 1) is a dual replication/checkpoint protein. Treslin/Ticrr, an essential replication protein, was discovered as a binding partner for TopBP1 and also in a genetic screen for checkpoint regulators in zebrafish.
