The vascular endothelial dysfunction has been implicated in the pathogenesis of migraine. Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) may impair endothelial function. Paraoxonase-1 (PON-1) prevents oxidative modification of LDL cholesterol (LDL-C).
