The contributions to allorecognition of polymorphic amino acids in the HLA-DR7 beta 1 chain were analyzed by using mutant DR7 beta 1 chains with single amino acid substitutions at position 4, 11, 13, 25, 30, 37, 57, 60, 67, 70, 71, 74, or 78.
