To establish an efficient rat model for colitis-associated colorectal cancer, azoxymethane and dextran sodium sulfate (AOM/DSS)-induced colon carcinogenesis was applied to a novel adenomatous polyposis coli (Apc) mutant, the Kyoto Apc Delta (KAD) rat.
