BACKGROUND: Genotypic and phenotypic resistance in 11 HIV-1-infected patients receiving enfuvirtide (ENF), as part of a salvage regimen, has been evaluated. METHODS: Resistance mutations were detected by sequencing the gp41 ectodomain from plasma samples.
