OBJECTIVES: Cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2J2 is expressed in vascular endothelium and metabolizes arachidonic acid to biologically active epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs), which are potent endogenous vasodilators and inhibitors of vascular inflammation.
