Cytochrome P450 2A13 (CYP2A13), an enzyme predominantly expressed in human respiratory tissues, is highly efficient for the metabolic activation of two suspected human lung carcinogens 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK) and aflatoxin B1 (AFB1).
