Using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis, we demonstrated that the temperature-sensitive (ts) conditional lethal mutant ts9383 is, at the nonpermissive temperature, defective in the resolution of concatemeric replicative intermediate DNA to linear 185-kb monomeric DNA genomes.
