Congenic BB.SHR (D4Got41-Npy-Tacr1; BB.4S) rats develop an incomplete metabolic syndrome with obesity, hyperleptinemia, and dyslipidemia compared with their progenitor strain, the diabetes-prone BB/OK rat.
