Retinoic acid receptor-related orphan receptor alpha (RORalpha) is a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. The mouse mutant staggerer (sg/sg) carries a deletion within the RORalpha gene. RORalpha plays a major role in cellular differentiation during development and growth.
