The involvement of beta-catenin gene alterations in pancreatic duct carcinogenesis induced by N-nitrosobis(2-oxopropyl)amine (BOP) in hamsters was examined by polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism analysis and the expression of beta-catenin protein was examined by immunohistochemistry. No mutations of the beta-catenin gene were detected in 20 pancreatic duct adenocarcinomas (PDAs)....
