To determine whether loss of heterozygosity (LOH) could be a useful diagnostic test for lung cancer, we evaluated LOH in cells obtained from bronchial brushings. Cells from radiographically normal and abnormal lungs were obtained from 55 patients undergoing diagnostic bronchoscopy.
