Clozapine is an effective atypical antipsychotic that has high affinity for serotonin type 6 receptors (5HT6). We tested the hypothesis that clinical response to clozapine in patients refractory to typical antipsychotic treatment is related to the genetic variant (C267T) of the 5HT6 receptors.
