Phosphatidylglycerol is a crucial phospholipid found ubiquitously in biological membranes of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The phosphatidylglycerol phosphate (PGP) synthase (PgsA), a membrane-embedded enzyme, catalyzes the primary reaction of phosphatidylglycerol biosynthesis.
