<title>Abstract</title> <p><bold>Background</bold>The antimalarial drug amodiaquine, a commonly used long acting partner drug in artemisinin-based combination therapy, is metabolized to active desethyl-amodiaquine (DEAQ) by cytochrome P450 2C8 (CYP2C8).
