<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> The blood-retina barrier (BRB) protects retinal neuronal function and enables vision. A compromised, leaky BRB is a hallmark of vision-threatening retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy (DR) and wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) that affect millions of persons worldwide.
