We recently described a low-affinity second-generation CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) CAT that showed enhanced expansion, cytotoxicity, and anti-tumour efficacy compared to the high-affinity (FMC63 based) CAR used in Tisagenlecleucel, in pre-clinical models.
