High-grade serous ovarian cancer, the most common and aggressive form of ovarian cancer, generally metastasises to visceral adipose tissues. In these tissues, the extracellular matrix through which ovarian cancer cells adhere and migrate is confined by the presence and preponderance of adipocytes.
