Orb2 the Drosophila homolog of Cytoplasmic polyadenylation element binding protein (CPEB) forms prion-like oligomers. These oligomers consist of Orb2A and Orb2B isoforms and their formation are dependent on the oligomerization of the Orb2A isoform.
