CD22 is a B cell membrane glycoprotein that, upon Ag receptor engagement, becomes rapidly tyrosyl phosphorylated and associates with several signaling molecules including Lyn, Syk, PLCgamma1, and the protein-tyrosine phosphatase, SHP-1.
