Mutations in the SEC63 gene of Saccharomyces cerevisiae affect both nuclear protein localization and translocation of proteins into the endoplasmic reticulum. We now report the isolation of suppressors of sec63-101 (formerly npl1-1), a temperature-sensitive allele of SEC63.
