This report describes T cell lines derived from a patient with subacute cutaneous lupus after treatment with intravenous pulse cyclophosphamide. We selected for mitotically active, hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase-deficient (HPRT-) T cells, by culture in a selective medium containing 6-thioguanine.
