The cDNA clone of restrictocin was placed under the control of the glucoamylase promoter from Aspergillus awamori and was transformed into Aspergillus nidulans and Aspergillus niger. Site-specific changes were introduced into cDNA constructs and these were transformed into A. nidulans.
