Whole genome sequencing (WGS) of a large number of samples is costly. Solutions include targeting a proportion of the genome (eg SNP arrays) or lowering the sequencing depth (low-coverage WGS, lcWGS) but both approaches suffer from either genotype missingness or uncertainty.
