Polymyositis (PM) is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by muscular inflammatory infiltrates and degeneration. T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT) contributes to immune tolerance by inhibiting T cell-mediated autoimmunity.
