BACKGROUND The insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) pathway is deeply involved in cell proliferation, including tumorigenesis. Aberrant genetic alterations of IGF1 pathway members were revealed in certain malignancies, including chondrosarcoma (CHS).
