Deletion of murine Thm1, an intraflagellar transport A (IFT-A) component that mediates ciliary protein trafficking, causes hyperphagia, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. The role of Thm1 or IFT-A in adipogenesis and insulin sensitivity is unknown.
