A Welsh Bone Marrow Donor Registry donor was serologically typed, using both alloantisera and monoclonal antibodies, as human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-A2, A-, but typed by polymerase chain reaction sequence-specific priming as HLA-A*01, A*02.
