We describe here the isolation and cytogenetic characterization of three meiotic prophase I mutants, denoted ietsugu (its), iesada (isa), and iemochi (imo), isolated by a novel N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea mutagenesis screen for adult zebrafish gonadogenesis.
