Bradycardia is a trigger of ventricular arrhythmias in patients with arrhythmia including Brugada syndrome and long QT syndrome. The HCN4 channel controls the heart rate, and its mutations predispose to inherited sick sinus syndrome and long QT syndrome associated with bradycardia.
